Emma Jean Wilson, 49, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Stuttgart Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 20, 1957, to Abraham Wilson Sr. and Alene Arnold Wilson. She confessed in Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.H. Hankins. She was a "bicentennial" 1976 graduate of Holly Grove High School. After graduating high shool, she attended Shorter College in North Little Rock. In 1978, she gave birth to her son, Deshundre Keon Wilson. Later, she was employed by Riceland Foods for 10 years under her health failed.
Her father, Abraham Wilson Sr., and brother, Abraham Wilson Jr., preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Deshundre Keon Wilson; one granddaughter, Racquel Wilson of Chicago, Ill.; her mother, Alene Wilson of Stuttgart; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ella and Donnie Spates, and Jacqueline and Floyd Lavine of Stuttgart; two uncles, Thomas Arnold Sr. and wife, Tonya, of Chicago, Ill., and Lonnie Arnold Sr. and wife, Jessie, of Holly Grove; five aunts, Marsha Hudson and husband, Sonny, Bertha Johnson and husband, Irunoes, and Blossie Bennett, all of Holly Grove, and Lilie Jones of Omaha, Neb., and Captolia Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.; aunt-in-law Dorothy Wilson of Holly Grove; two nephews, Terrence Swift of Little Rock and Kendrick Wilson of Stuttgart; and two nieces, Dearrah Weems of Little Rock and Dionne Spates of Stuttgart; and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at First Baptist Church of Holly Grove, with Pastor Fred Abram officiating. Deshundre Keon Wilson, her son, will bring the eulogy. Pallbearers will be Kenny Ray Parris, Richard Knox, Rickey Bones, Marvin Carthwright, R.B. Morrow, Gary Moore, Jheren Moore, Dewone Knox and Stanley Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church.
