CLARENDON - Eldon Everett, age 74, of Clarendon, Ark., died Thursday, May 17, 2007.

He was born June 28, 1932, in New Hope, Ark. to Othor and Jessie (Marshall) Everett. He lived 64 years in Clarendon, coming from New Hope, and was a Baptist by faith.

He was a farmer; worked at UAP Fertilizer in Clarendon, and liked to garden. He was very devoted to his work. He was preceded in death by his parents, Othor and Jessie Everett, and two brothers, Amos Everett and Elbert Everett.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Everett, of Clarendon; one son, Randy Everett and his wife, Janice, of Maddox Bay; one daughter, Carol Morris and her husband, Ronnie, of Clarendon; two brothers, Raymond Bud Everett and his wife, Faith, of Greenbrier, and Arnold Everett and his wife, Mary Frances, of West Helena; two sisters, Gladys Yelvington of Clarendon, and Geraldine Smith of Clarendon; seven grandchildren, Brandon Everett and his wife, Misty, of St. Charles, Ark., Breanne Damron and her husband, Chris, of Jonesboro, Sonia Nash and her husband, Tyrone, of Wheatley, Damon Morris and his wife, Christy, of Cabot, Kirk Boston and his wife, Shannon, of Humphrey, Britney Stringfellow of Clarendon, and Ben Morris of Clarendon; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2007 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Clarendon. Graveside services will be Sunday, May 20, 2007, at 3 p.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarendon, Ark., with Bro. Richie Malone officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home of Clarendon. Pallbearers were nephews Jimmy Everett, Ronnie Everett, Tommy Everett, Terry Chastain, Dennis Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, Steven Slayton and Elbert Everett Jr. Honorary pallbearers were employees of UAP of Clarendon.

Memorials may be made to Shady Grove Cemetery Association, or charity of your choice. Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home of Clarendon.


Additional note: Mr. Everett was a graduate of Holly Grove High School, Class of 1950, and lived in the Shiloh Community north of Holly Grove before moving to Clarendon.
