Every year, Time Magazine puts out a list of the 50 best websites. I thought I'd post a few of those websites here:
http://www.expertvillage.com/ - Expert Village.com is site with thousands of how-to videos and directions for just about anything. Really great if you're needing to learn how to fix something around the house.
http://www.howstuffworks.com/ - How Stuff Works.com is exactly what it sounds like. A ton of information about how things work. I think this website probably goes well with expertvillage.com
http://www.mpire.com/ - the place to find the best deals online - from airplane tickets to clothing to food...good deals on anything and everything.
http://www.footnote.com/ - thousands of historical documents online - some are free and others aren't. This site is a little like ancestry.com
http://www.bartleby.com/ - If you're interested in reading classic literature and you can't get to a library, this is a good way to go. Free classic books online.
http://www.imdb.com/ - This is the Internet Movie Database...anything you want to know about entertainers and the entertainment world, going back to the beginning of vaudville
http://www.etsy.com/index.php - this is a site to buy and sell all things handmade. I especially like the bath and body section and the jewelry section
