He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, very dedicated to his mission in service to his country. He obtained many honors in his service. His year of entry was 1941 at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Ar. He received five Bronze Stars for campaigns in Naple-Foggia, Rome-Arno, South France, Rhineland and Central Europe. His occupation specialty was Ammunition N.C.O. He was also listed as infantry until his honorable separation from Jefferson Barracks in 1945. He also received the Good Conduct Medal and was entitled to wear American Defense Service Ribbons (Lapel Button Issued) for European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign, 4 Oversears Bars, ASR Score and 100-Bronze Arrowhead. Honeycutt was a farmer, a well-loved man, and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Honeycutt and Almetta Honeycutt.
