Suzanne Yee ... Voted No. 1 Cosmetic Surgeon     Suzanne Yee, M.D., F.A.C.S., has been named as the Best Cosmetic Surgeon in central Arkansas by the readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, and yet shes still very humble about what she does.     Yee was born and raised in Arkansas. She attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, but it wasnt until her fellowship after medical school that she was introduced to cosmetic surgery.     During my residency I didnt see a lot of [cosmetic surgery], Yee said. My fellowship was focused on cosmetic surgeries such as facelifts. It was a very different experience because patients were happy and they wanted to be there because it made them feel better about themselves.     After finishing her fellowship in 1995, she decided she wanted to become a cosmetic surgeon and performed surgeries at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In 2003, Yee opened her own private practice Cosmetic and Laser Surgery Center and MedSpa.     In 2006, she built a new facility on Cantrell Road in Little Rock, equipped with a fully accredited operating room. It is there, in a calm atmosphere, that Yee and her 10 employees work hard changing lives.     Yees practice performs face lifts, eyelids, eyebrows, tummy tucks and much more. The most common procedure that patients get is liposelection, which is ultrasonic liposuction. Breast augmentation is the second most popular, Yee said.     Whether its having consults with patients, giving injections or performing surgery, Yee insists on seeing and talking with each of her patients.     My practice is different because Im always on site and I see all of my patients, she said. I see every patient before they do any treatment, and thats just an ethical thing for me.     Cosmetic and Laser Surgery Center and MedSpa also offers many nonsurgical treatments, such as laser hair removal, skin tightening and much more. Yees clinic is doing a research study for a nonsurgical skin-tightening treatment because she likes to stay on the cutting edge for her patients, she said.     Yee said that it makes her feel needed when patients come in wanting help or a self-esteem booster. And she loves to see her patients come back with a different attitude and a bounce in their step after procedures or surgeries.     I just love what I do, Yee said. I love to make people feel good. It really gives me a reason to get up and come to work every day. It makes me happy to make others happy.
