CABOT Billie Evelyn Yelvington Grimes of Cabot, Ark., passed away Thursday, May 14th, at St. Vincents Hospital in Sherwood, Ark. She was 79 years old. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Velma (Henderson) Yelvington and her brother A.E. Bubba Yelvington, all of Clarendon. Mrs. Grimes was the widow of Carl B. Grimes and they lived most of their lives in Holly Grove and Clarendon, Ark. Billie moved to Cabot after her husbands death in 1995.

She is survived by her four children, Carl E. Grimes (and wife Kathy) of Fayetteville, Ark., Bill Grimes (and wife Tawana) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, J.B. Grimes (and wife Jennifer) of Starkville, Miss., and Gina Burns (and husband Rickey) of Cabot, Ark.; 12 grandchildren and a host of friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, May 23rd, at 1 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery located off Highway 86 between Clarendon and Holly Grove. In case of rain the service will be held at Yelvingtons
Landing on the bank of White River in Clarendon where the family will gather after the service for a visit with friends. Memorials may be sent to the Arlene Cherry Public Library in Cabot, Ark., and the Margaret Moore Jacobs Public Library in Clarendon.
