HOLLY GROVE -- Frank Joseph Settefrati, 79, of Holly Grove, died March 7, 2009, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. He was born in Philadelphia, Penn., Sept. 7, 1929, to the late Michele and Michelina Brunetti Settefrati. He grew up in the Philadelphia area and became a line mechanic at a Chevrolet dealership, eventually working his way up to service manager. On Jan. 16, 1976, at Thomasville, Ga., he was united in marriage to Linda Andrews. For the next 28 years they would own and operate restaurants, ranging from fast food, buffet and seafood, in Georgia and Florida. After his health began to fail, Frank and Linda moved to the Holly Grove area and then to Brinkley.

He was an outgoing person with a dry sense of humor. In his younger years he enjoyed drag racing, playing pinochle, traveling, boating and deep sea fishing. A many of many talents, he once served as a Captain of yacht anmed Dee Dee, could fix and operate any type of machinery, and was an excellent cook. He loved music, especially Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, and played the accordion and piano. He also enjoyed playing with his African Parrot, YoYo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Angelo and Albert Settefrati; and two sisters, Ida Sereno and Sophia DeLape.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Andrews Settefrati; son Joseph Settefrati and wife, Susan, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; daughter Mary Wyss and husband, Werner, of Rixeyville, Va.; two grandchildren, Annalise and Thomas Joseph Settefrati; nephew Thomas Settefrati of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania; step-son Eddie Williams, wife Sharyn and son Nicholas of Palm Beach, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services held March 9 at the Bob Neal & Sons Chapel in Brinkley with Rev. Gene Andrews officiating.

Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery in Holly Grove by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home of Brinkley.
