obituary of Randy Gibbons

Graveside services for Randolph Randy Gibbons Jr., 56, of Marvell were held Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Sunset Memorial Park with Brother Mike Fowler officiating.

Gibbons, born May 1, 1953 in Sumter, S.C. the son of Randolph and Dorothy Evans Gibbons Sr., died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, in Flowood, Miss.

He was a member of the Arkansas Agricultural Aviation Association where he served as president from 1994 to 1995. He was a member of the National Agricultural Aviation Association, the First Baptist Church in Marvell, the Marvell City Council and previously served as a Marvell volunteer fireman.

He leaves his wife, Lori Loeschner Gibbons of Marvell; three daughters, Lauren Gibbons of Fayetteville, Rachel Gibbons and Caroline Gibbons, both of Marvell; a brother, Michael D. Gibbons of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and a sister, Dale Gibbons Thomas of Alcolu, S.C.
Pallbearers were Lewis Thompson, Keith Carden, Trey Jackson, Brooks Bonner, Gene Thomas, Jerald Ray Brock, Curtis Storey and Alfred Lee Brock.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Aviation Association, P.O. Box 3244, Little Rock, AR. 72203-3244, Marvell Academy, P.O. Box 277, Marvell, AR. 72366 or First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 838, Marvell.
