I think the case can be made that Holly Grove is an excellent example of a typical Arkansas Delta farming community that had its heyday when cotton was king. In my opinion, this is something that shouldn't be forgotten in Arkansas history.
I've recently volunteered to write entries for the Encyclopedia of Arkansas project. I noticed that Holly Grove isn't listed as an entry to write about. I'd like to recommend it to the people who decide on what will be included in the Encyclopedia, but I need reasons to recommend it. I need something significant (positive or negative) tying it to Arkansas history to include it - someone famous from Holly Grove, some kind of historic event in terms of Arkansas history, something that makes it important to know about. Does anyone have any ideas on what reason I can provide to have it included?
