Monroe County Sun Holly Grove News March 28, 1935 "The Holly Grove theater is being moved this week from the telephone exchange building to the Abramson building. It will reopen April 1."
Monroe County Sun Holly Grove News July 4, 1935 "A beauty revue was held Monday night in the Grove Theater to select a queen and three maids to represent Holly Grove at the Forrest City Peach Festival, July 27th. Miss Virginia Hess was selected the queen and Misses Gertie Roe Lambert, Winfrey Kerr, and Julia C. Lair will serve as maids. Miss Winfrey Kerr was also selected bathing beauty."
Monroe County Sun Holly Grove News Nov. 7, 1935 "The Grove Theater here are booking some of the latest pictures. Among some of the features to be presented on the local screen in the immediate future will be "Shipmates Forever" starring Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler and booked to appear Saturday and Monday, November 9 and 11."
