The family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Coleman of Holly Grove has published a family cookbook in their memory. Mr. and Mrs. Coleman raised 11 children in the Monroe County area and were well known in the community.
The cookbook consists of 368 recipes contributed by the children and their spouses, grandhildren and their spouses and the great-grandchildren. These "family favorites" have been shared and enjoyed at numerous gatherings over the years. The book also includes photos of Lawrence and Cassie and their children and other special occasions taken over the 59 years that they were married.
The cookbooks are on sale for $15 and the proceeds from the sale will be donated by the family to the McCurley Cemetery. McCurley Cemetery is located in the Raymond Community near Holly Grove. It is where Mr. and Mrs. Coleman are buried.
