Emily Catherine Bennett, 78, of Holly Grove, died Dec. 8, 2006, at Conway.
Mrs. Bennett was born Jan. 25, 1928, to Herbert and Maxine Grimes. She was part of a farm family, and longt-time resident of Holly Grove. She had been in the Greenbrier Nursing Home for the past three years.
She is survived by three daughters, Ginger Hall, and husband, Glenn, of Marvell, Janice Wallace and husband, Roger, of Vicksburg, Miss., and Cathy Good of Palestine; a son, Michael Bennett and wife, Brenda, of Greenbrier; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchldren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Bennett, and two sisters, Louise Turner and Shirley Stokes.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 11, at the Marvell Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bob Turner and Rev. Kirk Doerning officiating. Burial was in McCurley Cemetery at Holly Grove.
Pallbearers were Chance Brown, Josh Wallace, Jake Wallace, Robert Bennett, Derek Good and Jeremy Miller. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Helena directed services. Memorials may be made to McCurley Cemetery Association.
