For those of you scattered about and who are friends of Holly Grove High School grad Holly Almond Baxter, I thought you'd like to read this notice that appeared in the Oct. 24, 2007, Central Delta Argus-Sun:
CARD OF THANKS
The Almond Family would like to thank all those who have been praying for Holly Baxter. Those prayers have been answered. She has been enduring all the pain, suffering, treatments, including chemotherapy, etc. for Multiple Myaloma (cancer) for nearly four years. She cherished all the prayers, calls, cards, visits and other favors received. Her family believes God answers prayers.
She received word Oct. 23 from Dr. Bart Barlogie at the Cancer Research Center that she is free of cancer. GOD DOES ANSWER PRAYERS!
(I feel fairly certain that this was placed in the paper by Holly's mother, Elizabeth Almond, who lives in Little Rock now but stays in close contact with friends in the Brinkley and Monroe County area. Holly and her husband, Bill, live in Forrest City.)
