MALVERN -- Blanche Lawless, 85, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in Little Rock at the Baptist Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 13, 1922, in Monroe County to William Edgar "Dick" and Ada Lawson Skelton Davenport. She lived in Malvern coming from Holly Grove, where she was a member of the Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Foy Lawless in Monroe County Oct. 20, 1938. Blanche was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Ada Davenport; husband, Foy Lawless; two brothers, Marvin and Bud; and four sisters, Norma, Beulah, Cassie and Velma.
Survivors are a son, David Lawless and wife Audie, of Roe; three daughters, Patricia Martin and husband Pete of Holly Grove, Betty Lawless of Malvern and Rosemary Darrow and husband Rick of Malvern; a brother, Robert Lee Davenport and wife Ernestine of Stuttgart; eight grandchildren, Tommy Martin, Brad Breeding, Todd Lawless, Rich Lawless, Brady Lawless, Skylar Lawless, Shelly Loschelder and Amanda Martin; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was Wednesday Jan. 2, in Shady Grove Cemetery at Clarendon with Bro. J.D. Self officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons Tommy Martin, Brad Breeding, Todd Lawless, Rich Lawless, Brady Lawless and Skylar Lawless. Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters Shelly Loschelder and Amanda Martin. Arrangements were by Brown Funeral Home of Clarendon.
