FOUR SCORE AND 10 Mom's turning 90! Let's party - Phyllis D. Brandon
Doris McCastlain Hinkle celebrated her 90th birthday at a party Jan. 26 at Pleasant Valley Country Club. Her children, Mary Lynn Nelson and Laura Sholes, both of Little Rock; and Julia Stoner and Hugh McCastlain, both of Houston, hosted the event.
Hinkle served in the Arkansas Legislature from 1961-65, replacing her deceased husband, Ted McCastlain, and was Commissioner of Revenues 1964-66, until she resigned to marry Carl Hinkle, who was director of the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission.
