HOLLY GROVE -- Lillie Mae Morrow, 90, of Holly Grove, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, at Forrest City Medical Center. She was the widow of Robert Morrow.

She was born Feb. 8, 1912 in Holly Grove to Calvin Mayo Jr. and Arena Brown. She was raised in Holly Grove and attended chruch at I John Missionary Baptist Church.  She later became a member of First Baptist Church in Holly Grove, where she served on the usher board and sang in the Choir. She was a homemaker. She took great pride and joy working hard around her home and yard. She would also visit the elderly and ill people throughout the community. She didn't mind taking them meals and spending time with them. She was determined to stay alive. She loved gardening, cooking and watching her favorite television shows. She also loved eating Tootsie Roll candies.

Survivors include a daughter, Maxine Strong of Holly Grove; three grandchildren, Belivia Jean Rhines and husband Mal of San Antonio, Texas, Rudolph Williams and wife Carol of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Wilfred McGahee of holly Grove; a brother, Warren Mayo of Fresno, Calif.; a special niece, Eula Lowe of Chicago, Ill; a special nephew, Harry Mayo of Holly Grove; a dear friend, LaDorothy Wilson of Holly Grove; nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Momosa Street in Holly Grove, with Rev. Fred Abram Jr. officiating. Internment will take place at Mayo Cemetery in Holly Grove by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest  Funeral Home of Brinkley.

Pallbearers are Monté Williams, Carnell Bones, Jermel Williams, Reginald
Rhines, Mal Rhines and Maurice Rhines.
