He was raised in Holly Grove, Arkansas until his sophomore year and moved to Fayetteville, graduating from Fayetteville High School. After attending University of Arkansas, he went to Tulsa Technical School. He worked for Grainger where he retired as Service Manager in August 2000. He moved to Bella Vista in 2004 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He married Martha Ann Brown on July 20, 2005 in Chester, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Riner of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three sons, Jimmy Riner of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Richie Riner of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robert Scoggin of Little Rock, Arkansas; one daughter, Stacy Brown of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; three brothers, Bill Riner of London, England, Jim Riner of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Frank Riner of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and nine grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2008 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
