HOLLY GROVE John Smiley, 73, of Holly Grove, died March 5, 2009 at Elvia resley Trauma Center in Memphis following injuries from a vehicle accident.

He was originally from Norfolk, Va., and moved to Holly Grove 13 years ago where he operated Smiley's Tastee Freeze.

He is survived by three children and two sisters. Burial took place in Virginia.
