Jean Kirkpatrick was honored on Wednesday, Nov, 16, upon her retirement from the Bank of Holly Grove. A special reception was held in her honor and many family members and friends stopped by to visit.
Kirkpatrick started work for the Bank of Holly Grove in August 1967 as a teller. She was promoted to assistant cashier in 1972, cashier in 1980 and to senior vice president and cashier in 1986. She was elected to the board of directors on January 4, 1986.
After the bank was sold in 1998 to Home Bancshares of Conway, she remained as senior vice president and was a member of the advisory board. She has been employed with the Bank of Holly Grove in excess of 38 years.
A native of Brinkley, she is married to Jimmy Kirkpatrick of Holly Grove, has one son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Lana, and one grandson, Clay. Her parents were the late E.B. and Eula Medford of Brinkley and she was one of 13 children.
