I've also added a full compilation of Slave Narratives from former slaves from Holly Grove and Indian Bay. I'm pretty sure I managed to gather all of the existing slave narratives for the Holly Grove area. They are really interesting.
One of the most interesting things I want to note here is that one former slave, Emma Oats, states in her interview that she is the one who thought up the name "Holly Grove". So, stop by and read through the WPA Slave Narratives - they are really educational.
